What Is Your Aura?

Article by Guest Blogger Rose Julianne

Spirituality encompasses many different aspects of life and can be practiced in various ways. One way is by creating a space for prayer and worship, as discussed in our post entitled ‘Creating An Altar’. Another way is to read spiritual literature to complement daily meditation. A different method you can do to invite spirituality into your life is finding out your aura. This article will explore what auras are and how to determine yours:

What is an aura?

An aura is an energy field that surrounds our body. It can reveal a person's state of health and personality traits. People with strong auras tend to have a high degree of mental clarity and solid spiritual connections with nature. Ancient practices such as the Hindu scriptures contain the belief that this energy is expressed in different layers that correlate to various elements of a person's physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental health. Auras are usually perceived as a sensation and can sometimes be felt with closed eyes or seen in photographs. Mystical photographer Christina Lonsdale believes that auras can be encapsulated using a special camera that can capture a person's electromagnetic energy. As per a recent Cosmopolitan article on aura photography, this activity uses metal sensors and modified Polaroids to marry science and art. This ends up concentrating a person's energy and translating it into vibrant and otherworldly colors. Depending on the person and their current state, auras can come in various hues like purple, red, yellow, and blue.

How do you clean your aura?

Your aura can be affected by moods, health, and even physical surroundings. Your aura also permeates everything around you. If it isn't clean, the auras of those around you will be affected by the anger, jealousy, or stress that might be inside your system. In the podcast episode ‘4 Ways To Clean Your Aura’, spiritual guru Sadhguru explains in detail the merits of aura cleansing and why it may be necessary for certain situations. He explains that an aura is a subtle manifestation of a human's entire being, and like the physical body, it must be rid of impurities. Some cleansing techniques he mentions include giving yourself a wind bath and using neem sticks. Keeping your aura clean and pure brings it back to balance and supports your overall health.

How do you determine your aura?

Like any other spiritual practice, knowing your aura takes time and practice. Here are a few tips you can follow: Study Aura Colors The first step to knowing what your aura is is to study aura colors. Many different colors make up an individual's aura, and each has a specific meaning. Red, for example, represents passion and courage. Orange represents creativity and happiness. Blue represents calmness and tranquility. Green represents healing and harmony. By knowing the aura colors, you can understand what the foundations of what auras represent. Get an Aura Reading Aura readings are a great way to understand yourself on a deeper level. They are done by spiritual advisers or energy practitioners with psychic abilities. They can see or feel the different colors in your aura, determine what they mean, and give tips on keeping them strong. The best way to find such a person is through word-of-mouth recommendations from friends or family members who have had readings. Otherwise, you can also check online reviews to gauge a practitioner's experience. Practice Sensing Your Own Aura Spiritual expert Dilosh of Girl and Her Moon explains that sensing your aura color can be as intuitive as taking a personality test and reflecting on what color aligns with your sense of self. You can also start by getting used to sensing the energy around your body. To do this, sit down somewhere quiet and close your eyes, then begin to focus on the feelings inside of you. The more you practice sensing your aura, the easier it will be to identify the energy signature that expresses your vibe. Your aura is the energy you put out into the world. If you want to learn more about yourself, take a moment to tune into your aura today. You may just be surprised by what you find.
